Emanuel Healing Temple has been in existence for well over 30 years. This ministry is located in the historic Austin community at 3668 West Roosevelt Rd. in Chicago, Illinois,  60624. Emanuel Healing Temple is founded by the late great Bishop Joe L. Kirkwood and his wife Iona Kirkwood. They dedicated their life to building up a ministry that could positively impact the community and lead people to Christ.

After Bishop Joe L. Kirkwood passed the ministry was left to his son Bishop Vincen Kirkwood Sr. and his powerful wife Co’ Pastor Evangelist Christine Kirkwood. They have 6 children, five of which are married, Vincent Kirkwood and his wife Yvonne Kirkwood, Min. Vinzella Trimuel and her husband Min. Omoro Trimuel, Christina Jones and her husband Rodney Jones, Vanessa Rivers and her husband Donald Rivers, Min. Christopher Kirkwood and his wife Min. Ashley Kirkwood and their youngest son Christen Kirkwood. Bishop Vincen Kirkwood Sr. has a vision to lead souls to Christ through teaching the word of God and serving the community.

Recently, Bishop Kirkwood appointed his middle son Min. Christopher Kirkwood as the Youth Pastor of Emanuel. Min. Christopher Kirkwood looks forward to working closely with his father to create a dynamic youth ministry.
Emanuel Healing Temple is a family run ministry that works together with the Ministers, Deacons, Elders, Ushers, Motherboard, and Evangelist to provide services to the community that will show the world what Christ has called Christians to do!
